Henderson, Nev. – Fans do not have to hold on any longer. Wilson Phillips performs at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Pkwy., for the first time next month. The concert, which is part of the venue’s 15th anniversary, is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 13. Tickets start at $40.50 per person.

Daughters to music royalty, Chynna Phillips (daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas & the Papas) and Carnie and Wendy Wilson (daughters of the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson) made their own path to superstardom. The trio burst onto the music scene in 1990 with their debut album, Wilson Phillips. The album sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, becoming one of the biggest-selling albums by a female group. It included three No. 1 singles, including “Release,” “You’re in Love” and the standout track, “Hold On.”

After telling fans to “hold on for one more day” years ago, Phillips and the Wilson sisters experienced a resurgence in their career in 2011. That year the group appeared in the blockbuster hit film Bridesmaids, singing their award-winning song “Hold On” in a show-stopping performance. Since then, their popularity continues to grow, even gaining a new generation of fans.

Today, Wilson Phillips still tours all over the world, stopping in Henderson on Oct. 13. The group’s 90-minute live performance at the Henderson Pavilion will feature music from throughout their career, including their greatest hits, along with songs by the Beach Boys and the Mamas & the Papas.

In addition to Wilson Phillips’ show, the Henderson Pavilion’s anniversary season also includes a 15-year anniversary concert with Greensky Bluegrass on Sept. 15; season opener for the Henderson Symphony Orchestra on Sept. 16; Barking with the Beatles, produced and promoted by Connor and Millie’s Dog Rescue, on Sept. 30; Get the Led Out, the American Led Zeppelin, on Oct. 7; Air1 Positive Hits Tour featuring Skillet, produced and promoted by Awakening Events, Inc., on Oct. 14; and the Henderson Symphony Orchestra on Oct. 20. Ticket prices vary for each show.
