City of Henderson Hosts Fourth of July Celebration

Family Event to Include Music, Games, Kids’ Activities and Fireworks

WHAT: Fourth of July celebration

WHEN: July 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Fireworks show at 9 p.m.

WHERE: Heritage Park, 350 E. Racetrack Road

Thousands will celebrate America’s birthday in Henderson next week. The city will host its annual Fourth of July celebration on Tuesday. The family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, games, kids’ activities, concessions and fireworks. Admission to the event is free. Gates open at 1 p.m.

This year’s festivities include human hamster balls, bounce houses, face painting, children’s activities and cornhole toss. Musical entertainment will be provided by Wildfire, performing songs from Stevie Wonder to Kenny Loggins and Michael Jackson to Taylor Swift, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food and beverage vendors will be on site for the event as well.

The celebration will end with fireworks. Pyrotecnico will present a 19-minute fireworks show in honor of America’s independence, which will be synched to music, at 9 p.m.

Overflow parking and free shuttle services will be available from Basic High School, 400 N. Palo Verde Drive. The shuttle service will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.
