Henderson Police Arrest Kitchen Aid of Daycare for Exposing Toddler in Video

December 08, 2017

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department has initiated an investigation into a complaint involving a video of a small child by a child care worker that showed the genital area of the victim. The video, which was posted on a social media site, also included verbal statements that were inappropriate and was taken during a pull-up/diaper change.

Through anonymous information provided to Henderson Police, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to a daycare located in the 100 block of Westminster Way on December 7 for further investigation.

As a result of the investigation, it was learned that 29-year-old Andrea Day, a kitchen aid worker, had willfully and unlawfully captured the image of a private area as another employee was tending to the child. It was determined that Day had posted the content on a social site as a supposed “joke.”

Day was subsequently arrested and charged with “Capture / Distribute / Display Image of Private Area of Person,” a gross misdemeanor and was booked into the Henderson Detention Center.  Her booking photo is attached.

The Henderson Police Department encourages all parents to talk with their children regarding boundaries and takes all complaints regarding children seriously.
