Henderson, Nev. – Henderson residents are invited to meet the people behind the badge and learn more about what police officers are doing to help keep their community safe during the Henderson Police Department’s Talk Shop with Cops.

WHAT:  Talk Shop with Cops

WHEN:  Thursday, November 2
7 a.m.- 9 a.m.

WHERE: Starbucks
690 E. Horizon Dr.

The format for Talk Shop with Cops has been modified from a formal presentation to a more casual environment in which officers meet and speak one-on-one with the residents they protect and serve. The updated format allows community members to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers who work in their neighborhood, in a relaxed setting.

“Building a partnership with our residents to identify and solve neighborhood problems is the foundation of effective community policing,” Henderson Police Acting Chief Todd Peters said. “Holding events at neighborhood hangouts will help encourage collaboration between community members and police officers.”

Talk Shop with Cops events are hosted at different times and locations throughout Henderson during the year. For more information on upcoming events, visit cityofhenderson.com.
