Henderson Police Investigating Fatal Crash Involving Motorcyclist

Henderson, Nev. – Henderson Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the intersection of W. Galleria and Boulder Highway that claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., Henderson Police and Fire responded to calls of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a Honda Pilot. Initial information obtained at the scene indicated the driver of the Honda Pilot may have failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist collided into the Honda Pilot and sustained major injuries and subsequently succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Honda Pilot remained at the scene, was cooperative with the investigation and showed no signs of impairment.
Westbound Galleria from Boulder Highway and southbound Boulder Highway from Gibson were closed for approximately three hours while fatal accident investigators conducted their investigation.
The name of the motorcyclist killed in the collision will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.
The crash is being investigated as the seventh accident-related fatality this year.
