The City of Henderson Alcohol Monitoring Program began on October 1, 2011 and is responsible for administering all SCRAM® and Intensive Alcohol Monitoring orders from the Henderson Municipal Court. The Alcohol Monitoring Program is run by the City of Henderson Special Programs and Services and all new intakes take place at the Special Programs and Services Offices. The Alcohol Monitoring Program serves the Court by monitoring participants for alcohol consumption on cases that the Court orders. The program is completely paid for by participants in the program. All costs for SCRAM® are recuperated on the date that the equipment is installed and therefore there is no cost to the City. All costs for other forms of the Alcohol Monitoring Program are paid on an ongoing basis by the participant.
Persons ordered to the Alcohol Monitoring Program are required to immediately report to the Special Programs and Services office to be processed and have their equipment installed. The Alcohol Monitoring Program utilizes state of the art SCRAM® equipment to monitor an individual when ordered by the Court. Additionally, Alcohol Monitoring Program utilizes frequent urinalysis testing and breath testing as additional forms of alcohol monitoring.
