Professional Biography:
Daryl Moore joined the city of Henderson as Director of Human Resources in February 1998. As Director,
she is responsible for all areas of employee relations including recruitment, compensation, benefits,
employee training and organizational development, risk management and safety, labor relations, and
affirmative action.
Daryl previously served as the Director of Human Resources for the city of Davenport, Iowa for eight years. Before entering the government sector, she worked for 16 years in the private sector with International Harvester. Prior to that, Daryl held progressively responsible positions at multiple locations within Case-IH human resources.
Daryl holds an MBA from St. Ambrose University and has completed doctorate course work in Business Administration through Northcentral University (PhD/ABD). Daryl is also a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and an International Personnel Management Association-Certified Professional (IPMA-CP).
Daryl is the founding president of the Nevada Personnel Employee Labor Relations Association (PELRA) and past president of the Iowa PELRA. She is an active member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce and is a 2002 graduate of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Leadership program. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Regis University teaching Leadership and Change Management.
Daryl holds certifications in Systems and Strategic Thinking and Planning, Achieve Global Training Programs, Hogan Assessment Systems, Bar on EQI, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Assessment, and Facilitation for Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
