Professional Biography:
Diana Hampton was elected as Henderson Municipal Court Judge, Department 3 in June 2005. Judge Hampton
assumed office to the newly created Department 3 in July of the same year. Her daily court calendar
consists of misdemeanor criminal arraignments, trials and status checks. In addition, Judge Hampton
hears traffic arraignment and trials from adults as well as juveniles.
Prior to being elected, Judge Hampton served both the private and government sectors. She served the City of Henderson as a Deputy City Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanors including DUI's and Domestic Battery's. Prior to holding that position, Judge Hampton had a private practice that concentrated on family and criminal law.
Judge Hampton earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 1997. She thereafter earned her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in 1999.
Judge Hampton is currently a member of the Clark County Bar Association, American Judges Association, Nevada Judges Association and The Nevada Trial Lawyers Association. Judge Hampton is proud to be the first female elected to judge in the city of Henderson.
