Events for 2009
Henderson has events year round for residents and visitors. The City is working hard to make sure that there are events or activities for everyone.

Galleria Interchange
The $66.3 million interchange at the Galleria Drive and Interstate 515 is scheduled to open in October. The city and the Nevada Department of Transportation are working together to create the interchange that is estimated to reduce traffic by 70 percent on Sunset Road and 30 percent on Russell Road.

Henderson District Public Libraries
The Henderson District Public Libraries started in 1943 under the name Henderson School Public Library with one location. Now there are 5 locations throughout Henderson providing citizens with quality access to books and resources.

History of Excellence
Watch State of the City highlights since 1997. This video showcases the journey Henderson has made to become the second largest city in the state while providing premier citizen services.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program
To help contain foreclosures in California, Florida, Arizona, and Nevada, Congress recently enacted legislation authorizing $4 billion for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to establish the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. HUD has awarded $4.1 million to the city of Henderson in order to carry out specific programs.

North Community Police Station
The North Community Police Station will serve the residents of the area roughly north of I-215, south of Russell Road, east of Pecos Road and west of Pabco Road.

Online Tools for Success
Henderson's Economic Development division is making the Henderson Tools for Business Success program available to all. This program provides business and future business owners with a wealth of knowledge to start or maintain a successful business.
