Planning and preparing for an emergency can help keep individuals, families and businesses safe when a disaster strikes. Get READY! Stay READY! is a comprehensive education and outreach campaign that focuses on the importance of individual and family readiness and disaster preparedness for our entire community.
Since its launch in 2014 by the Office of Emergency Management, Get READY! Stay READY! has been recognized by emergency management industry leaders for its efforts to prepare the community for emergencies. The program won a FEMA Individual and Community Preparedness Award and IAEM-National Public Awareness Award in 2015.
