How many people can the Henderson Convention Center comfortably hold?

We can easily accommodate up to 600 people for your reception.

What is included in my room rental?

In addition to your ballroom, we provide tables, chairs and room arrangement, plus access to our holding kitchen for your food and beverages. Our Wedding Package also includes a dance floor, portable bar, linens and insurance. In addition, we have a terrific operational staff available to assist you during your entire event.

Is separate space available for my ceremony?

Yes. We offer a few different options for your ceremony, including the Events Plaza, Covered Patio, Amphitheater pr a separate ballroom. 

How big is the dance floor?

Our dance floors come in a variety of sizes, depending on your need. Rental costs for the floor are dependent upon the size.

Does the Convention Center allow live music?And if so, is there proper spacing, wiring, and equipment?

We do allow live music; however, to have a band, you must rent 10,000 square feet of ballroom space. We have adequate wiring to accommodate a band, and house sound is available, as well as a variety of A/V equipment, including microphones and more.

How many hours does the room rental cover? Are there extra charges if the reception runs over?

Your room rental is for 12 hours. The Convention Center closes at midnight, so your block would normally run from noon ‘til midnight. Extra hours can be added to your block on the “start” side of your event for a small fee.

Is there a separate room where I can change into my going-away clothes?

We have smaller rooms available for rent that can be utilized by the bride, groom and/or wedding party.

What is the layout of the tables? How many people can sit comfortably at each table?

Most receptions are set with round tables where up to 10 people can sit comfortably.

Do you provide linens?

Tablecloths are included in your Wedding Package. We have a variety of colors from which to choose,and we will skirt your specialty tables (buffet, cake, gifts, head table, etc.) at no extra charge to you. Chair covers are available at an additional cost.

What about decorations?

You are free to bring your own decorations, including centerpieces, flowers, balloons, draping and more. Decor services, as well as specialty items such as arches, lattice screens and guest book stands are available at an additional cost. 

Can I bring my own caterer or do I have to purchase my catering from you?

We are very unique in that we allow you to bring outside food and beverages to our facility. You can hire a caterer or purchase your own food and drinks to bring with you.

Does my caterer need a license?

Your hired caterer does need to have a City of Henderson business license, as well as all catering licenses. If you are hiring them to provide alcohol as well, all liquor licenses are required.

What if my family and friends provide the food and alcohol?

If no payment is made for their services, no licenses are required; however, laws covering underage drinking will be enforced.

What will it take to reserve a room?

At the time of your reservation, a non-refundable rental deposit is required to guarantee your space. Your balance will be due 60 days prior to your event. If your event is scheduled with less than 60 days’ notice, the entire amount will be due at the time of your reservation.

Will my Rental Deposit be returned to me in the event of a cancellation?

The Rental Deposit paid to confirm your reservation is non-refundable. In the event a cancellation occurs with more than 90 days of notice, all monies (with the exception of the Rental Deposit) will be refunded as outlined in the contract. 

Can I pay by check?

Checks are an acceptable form of payment as long as your event is more than 30 days away. Cash and credit/debit cards (except for American Express) are always welcome.
