BICYCLE FRIENDLY COMMUNITY AWARD

The City of Henderson was named a Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) at the bronze level by the League of American Bicyclists. The award recognizes Henderson for its commitment to improving conditions for bicycling. Considered a roadmap to building a Bicycle Friendly Community, the BFC program is transforming the way communities evaluate their quality of life, sustainability and transportation networks. FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION

Celebrate America's birthday with the City of Henderson on July 4 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Dr. Bring the entire family for a night of live music, food, fun and a spectacular fireworks show. Admission is complimentary. CHANGE IN START TIME FOR
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

Effective August 5, 2014, the City of Henderson City Council meetings will begin at 6 p.m. The change brings the start time more in line with city business hours. This change also impacts the start time for Redevelopment Agency and Committee meetings which are held prior to the City Council meeting. Official meeting start times are posted on all meeting agendas available on the city's website.

Henderson City Council, Redevelopment Agency and Planning Commission meetings are broadcast live while in session at cityofhenderson.com. For additional information, please contact the Office of the City Clerk at 702-267-1400.
