Mediation Program


We are proud to announce that the Henderson Mediation Program has been awarded the Neighborhoods USA (NUSA) Best Neighborhood Program Award!




The City of Henderson has partnered with the Clark County Neighborhood Justice Center (NJC) and the Henderson District Public Libraries to provide our residents with mediation services located close to home!



What is mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary process that brings parties together to resolve their differences through discussion and problem-solving.


What does the mediator do?
The mediator is a neutral party who facilitates dialogue and provides a respectful environment for the parties discuss their issues. The mediator is not the final decision-maker, arbitrator or judge.



Why use mediation?

        Success: Over 75% of cases that were mediated this year resulted in resolution.

        Effectiveness: Mediated agreements are more likely to be fulfilled than court orders.

        Cost: There is no cost.

        Timeliness: We are ready to mediate when you are.

        Convenience: We schedule mediation at convenient locations.

        Privacy: Mediations are conducted privately and confidentially.


What type of disagreements can be mediated?
Neighbor-to-neighbor and community disputes can be mediated through this program.


Who can use the Henderson Satellite Mediation Program?
Any Henderson resident is eligible.
