Sunset Road Lane Restrictions
Intersection with Valle Verde Drive

Henderson, Nev. – As part of the Sunset Road Improvement project, there will be lane restrictions beginning January 22 through February 1. The lane closures will provide a safe work zone for sewer manhole reconstruction near the intersection of Sunset Road and Valle Verde Drive, requiring two lane closures and one lane open in the vicinity of the manhole. It is advised to take alternate routes when possible. There is potential for delays of up to 15 minutes in both directions on Sunset Road while these lane restrictions are in effect.
In addition, Sunset Road between Whitney Ranch Drive and Mountain Vista will have an intermittent outside lane closures in either northbound or southbound lanes from January 22 at 8 pm through February 22, 2008. The lane closure is to complete the traffic signal interconnect fiber optic cable. Along this section of Sunset Road, expect minimal traffic delays.
These final phases of the Sunset Road Improvement project are scheduled for completion in February 2008. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) funded a significant portion of the $3.2 million improvements, with the city of Henderson providing $86,000.
