Annual Destination Champion Award Announced

Henderson, Nev. The city of Henderson will present Traci Young, Associate Director of Sales for Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa & Casino, with the 5th annual Destination Champion Award on Tuesday, May 7, at the City Council meeting.

The Destination Champion Award recognizes excellence in the destination’s hospitality industry. The Commission on Cultural Arts & Tourism selects one hotel sales professional executive each year for their commitment to promoting and enhancing awareness of Henderson, Nevada, as a premier destination for leisure and business visitors alike.

“We are pleased to recognize Traci for her outstanding contributions to Destination Henderson,” said Andrea Primo, Director of the Department of Cultural Arts & Tourism. “Her commitment and innovative strategies for attracting meeting and convention business have helped to further promote our city as a premier destination.”

Young has served the Henderson hospitality industry for 11 years. As Associate Director of Sales for Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa & Casino, she has developed a variety of innovative programs for new and relocating businesses; helped to promote Destination Henderson at industry trade shows and brought many national conferences and meetings to Henderson.
