Henderson Hosts "City Hall at the Mall" to Interact with Citizens

On November 16 at the Galleria at Sunset, the city of Henderson will host the annual “City Hall at the Mall” informational fair on services provided by city departments.
WHAT: Henderson City Hall at the Mall
WHO: Public is invited to stop by to talk with city representatives
WHEN: November 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Galleria at Sunset, 1300 Sunset Rd., between U.S. 95 and Stephanie Street
Event will take place in the upper level food court area.
WHY: Throughout the day, city officials and staff will be available to meet and interact with residents. The event is held as a convenient way for residents to obtain city information as well as provide input and feedback about city related services, programs, and projects.
Visitors to City Hall at the Mall will also be treated to five contest winners reading their entries from the “If I Were the Mayor of Henderson…” 5th Grade Student Essay Contest. Moderated by Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen, the presentation will begin at 3 p.m. in the upper level food court area.
Coordinated by the city of Henderson Neighborhood Services Division, the “If I Were the Mayor of Henderson…” Essay Contest is open to all Henderson 5th-graders. The top five will be selected based on spelling, grammar, originality and understanding of local government. Winners will receive a gift card for the Galleria at Sunset. In addition to reading their winning essays at City Hall at the Mall, the five students will join Mayor Hafen for lunch and be recognized at the December 3 City Council Meeting.
