With just days to go, the city of Henderson is excited to introduce Henderson Stroll ‘n Roll. The event, which is modeled after the world-famous Ciclovia in Bogotá, Columbia, is a car-free celebration where residents are encouraged to use alternative transportation to move, explore and play in the streets, which are temporarily closed to motorized traffic. Admission is free.

WHEN: Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
WHERE: Paseo Verde Parkway (From Valle Verde Drive to the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250. S. Green Valley Pkwy.)
WHY: Henderson Stroll ‘n Roll is the only event of its kind held in the state of Nevada. It’s considered the community’s largest car-free street and fitness festival, transforming city blocks into a commuter-friendly neighborhood, complete with miles of family fun.
People of all ages will travel from park to park on foot, bike or skates, enjoying a variety of activities along the 1-mile route, as well as entertainment zones at Paseo Verde Park, Discovery Park and the Henderson Multigenerational Center. Focusing on different themes like health, fitness and safety, each entertainment zone will have interactive demonstrations, free exercise classes, food trucks and children’s activities.
STREET CLOSURES: Paseo Verde Parkway eastbound lane will be closed from Desert Shadow Trail (at Paseo Verde Park) to Desert Shadow Trail (near the Henderson Multigenerational Center) on Saturday, November 9 from 4 a.m.-6 p.m.
Limited parking will be available at Paseo Verde Park and Discovery Park.
