Henderson, Nev. The City of Henderson will host its 10th annual Bark In the Park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Pkwy. Admission is free for all ages and leashed dogs are welcome.

The move to Cornerstone Park is in recognition of the event’s 10-year anniversary. An estimated 3,500 people and hundreds of dogs are expected to attend. Bark In the Park features contests, vendor booths, entertainment, and demonstrations by the City of Henderson Police Department K-9 Unit and Atomic Dogs. Pet adoptions will also be available on site.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of this popular community event is the on-site availability of pet adoptions by rescue groups and our own city of Henderson Animal Care and Control,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “More than 500 dogs have been adopted at Bark In the Park over the last nine years, which means some wonderful animals have found their forever homes and many families have had their lives enriched too.”

All dogs must be leashed and under the control of a handler at least 10 years of age. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
