American Idol alum and country music artist Kristy Lee Cook performs Saturday, September 28 at 8 p.m. at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 Water St., in the historic Water Street District as part of this year’s Super Run Classic Car Show. Admission to the concert is complimentary.

Cook’s appearance comes after the summer release of “Wherever Love Goes,” a duet with country star Randy Houser, who has back-to-back No. 1 hits with “How Country Feels” and “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight.” The power ballad was recently named to Country Music is Love’s 10 Songs You Should Be Listening to Playlist, which also includes songs by such icons as Brad Paisley, Jake Owen and the Eli Young Band.

In addition to “Wherever Love Goes,” Cook will entertain fans with music that’s a little bit of country, blues and rock ‘n roll. Songs include “Dirt Cheap,” a track that features a battle of the vocals between Cook and hit maker and award-winning artist Jason Aldean, the gritty rocker “What Ya Gonna Do?” and “Airborne Ranger Infantry,” a sentimental tune inspired by four poems written by her father about his experiences during the Vietnam War.

Cook’s concert is part of a full weekend of entertainment during Super Run, Southern Nevada’s largest car show. The event, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 26-Sunday, September 29, features 1,000 classic cars on display, automotive competitions and nostalgic fun like a ‘50s fashion show by Bombshell Pinup Productions, a musical tribute to Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Elvis, children’s activities and the Hubcap Art Gallery with a silent auction. Admission for spectators is complimentary.
