Slide Into Summer With the City of Henderson

May 02, 2013

Henderson, Nev. School is finally out, and now it’s time to Slide Into Summer with the city of Henderson from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, June 7 at Anthem Hills Park, 2256 N. Reunion Dr. Registration is $5 per person and can be made online or at any city of Henderson recreation center or indoor pool.

The city’s second annual Slide Into Summer features a giant slip and slide for all ages, mini slip and slide for little ones, bounce house, lawn games, and sun safety tips.

“Our inaugural Slide Into Summer attracted hundreds of children and parents ready to kick off the summer in style,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “The slope at Anthem Hills Park is the ideal location for a giant slip and slide, and it’s a wet and invigorating ride to the bottom.”

Participants (or a parent/guardian if under the age of 18) must sign a waiver at the event in order to take part. Appropriate swimwear is required and beach towels are recommended as everyone will get wet.
