350 Acres of Industrial Development Opportunity Available in Henderson Land Auction

Henderson, Nev. – The city of Henderson is offering a unique opportunity to develop more than 350 acres of land in the thriving business climate of Southern Nevada.

The West Henderson Commerce Center is being auctioned as three separate parcels. Written bids are being accepted until 5 p.m. on May 19. The properties will then be sold at a live public auction starting at 6:45 p.m. on May 20 at a Special City Council Meeting when the written bids are opened and verbal bids will be accepted.

This land, due to its proximity to significant transportation modes, such as the Henderson Executive Airport, McCarran International Airport, I-15, I-215 and State Hwy. 146 (St. Rose Parkway), provides an ideal area for development as an employment and business center.

The starting bids are $7.4 million for the 81.87-acre parcel, $9.73 million for the 109.67-acre parcel and $16.03 million for the 167-acre parcel. The land must be sold for at least the minimum bid. The parcels are zoned IP (Industrial Park). The parcels are located along Via Inspirada, south of Larson Lane, just west of the Inspirada master-planned community.

“The 350 acres of land represents an exciting opportunity for us to attract industrial and commercial development to an area of Henderson that is anticipated to be a major employment center surrounding the Executive Airport,” said Barbra Coffee, Henderson manager of economic development/redevelopment. “We certainly believe that this will be an attractive location to the development community with immediate proximity to I-15 and easy access to Southern California markets.”

The land was transferred from the Bureau of Land Management to the City for economic development in 2009 through a public land management act and can only be used for nonresidential development. The proceeds of the auction go to the BLM.
