The city’s emergency management team will be at several locations throughout the week. They will be on-hand to educate the public on the importance of disaster preparedness, provide helpful tips in case of an emergency, and answer any questions. The team will be at the following locations during National Preparedness Week.

As part of the Get READY! Stay READY! campaign, presentations to local civic groups, businesses and schools are planned throughout the year. In addition, a series of videos that highlight important tips and outline the necessary steps one needs to take when planning for an emergency are available online.
“Keeping our community safe is one of our priorities,” said Mayor Andy Hafen. “We are committed to providing our residents, employees and their families with the necessary tools they need in case of an emergency.”
