Henderson Hosts Community Cleanup and Education Day

The city of Henderson is hosting Henderson Shines on Saturday, May 3, an annual community cleanup and education day. Residents will have the opportunity to recycle, donate household items, have documents shredded, and dispose of hazardous household materials while learning about the importance of sustainability.

WHEN: Saturday, May 3, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
WHERE: Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Pkwy.
Henderson Shines provides an opportunity for Henderson residents to clean up their garages, yards and neighborhoods while also helping to protect the environment.
Participants can safely dispose of batteries, paint, oil, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), cellular phones, and electronics. Documents can be securely shredded at no cost and gently used clothing and household items can be donated to Opportunity Village. Henderson Libraries will also collect hardback or paperback books in good condition.
