Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department’s Traffic Unit, working with other area law enforcement in early March, stopped nearly 400 motorists in an effort to combat speeders.
Henderson Police officers were joined by officers from Nevada Highway Patrol, Boulder City Police and Mesquite Police for the special enforcement effort that ran from March 1 to March 10. This is the sixth joining forces effort so far this year.
The officers stopped a total of 390 motorists handing out 273 speeding tickets. The officers also issued 6 citations for not wearing seat belts, 15 for cell phone use, 31 for registration violations and 56 for no insurance.
