Henderson residents take to the streets this weekend for Henderson Stroll ‘n Roll. The community’s largest car-free streets festival transforms city blocks into a commuter-friendly neighborhood, closing Paseo Verde Parkway to motorized traffic to allow families, friends and neighbors join together to enjoy fun and healthy activities. Admission is free.

From Valle Verde Drive to the Henderson Multigenerational Center, 250. S. Green Valley Pkwy.
WHY: Henderson Stroll ‘n Roll is modeled after the world-famous Ciclovia in Bogotá, Colombia, an internationally-renowned health celebration that opens the streets to pedestrians and cyclists to enjoy without vehicles.
The Henderson route has no beginning or end. Residents are able to bike, walk, skate or play on a portion or the entire 1-mile car-free roadway. Along the way, they can stop at Paseo Verde Park, Discovery Park or the Henderson Multigenerational Center and enjoy free exercise classes, children’s activities, interactive demonstrations, and food trucks.
STREET CLOSURES: Paseo Verde Parkway eastbound lane will be closed from Desert Shadow Trail (at Paseo Verde Park) to Desert Shadow Trail (near the Henderson Multigenerational Center) on Saturday, April 12 from 4 a.m.-6 p.m.
Limited parking will be available at Paseo Verde Park and Discovery Park.
