Overview
This nearly 8-mile trail will connect Henderson's Anthem development to Mission Drive and Horizon Parkway through Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. McCullough Hills Trail will be a major connector and is expected to fulfill much of the southern Valley’s recreational and transportation trail needs. The trail will be especially appealing to hiking, mountain biking and equestrian enthusiasts interested in experiencing Nevada's natural desert scenery.

History
In 2002, Congress designated Sloan Canyon as the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area to preserve and protect a portion of Southern Nevada's Mojave Desert as a permanent asset for future generations. The City of Henderson participated in the formation of the Sloan Canyon Resources Management Plan, which identified McCullough Hills Trail as an ideal avenue to allow access to Sloan Canyon while preserving its natural character.
