Community Clean-Up Trailer

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in our community? The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department is an excellent place to start! We offer several programs to choose from that range from community cleanup and park/trail adoption to taking care of children and assisting seniors. Take a moment to browse through our programs listed below and let us know how you would like to volunteer.

Cleanup Trailer
The City of Henderson Commemorative Beautification Commission and local sponsors have organized a 20' enclosed trailer full of tools and supplies. This furnished trailer is available at no cost to Henderson residents and businesses to use for neighborhood clean ups and community projects. To reserve the trailer, please call 267-4017.

Community Pride Award
The Commemorative Beautification Commission presents the Community Pride Award to recognize individuals or businesses that have improved the appearance of their neighborhood or added to the beauty or cleanliness of Henderson. The Community Pride Award recipient is interviewed by the media, usually with an article and pictures describing their accomplishment. They also receive a Community Pride Award sign, which is posted for several months in the recipient's yard or business to recognize their outstanding efforts.

Examples of previous award winners include homeowners who have cleaned up a neglected yard or common area, or have converted turf to xeriscape, thereby improving the appearance of their home or community area. Call (702) 267-4014 for more information.
