City of Henderson Scholarship
The City of Henderson works in partnership with the state of Nevada Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) to provide financial assistance for individuals utilizing Safekey, Teen Scene and other youth enrichment programs. The CCDF Child Care Program assists low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance and those transitioning from public assistance in obtaining childcare so they can work or attend training/school. CCDF monies are also used for activities to improve the quality of child care by financially assisting childcare providers in their professional development maintaining healthy, safe, and appropriate learning environments for children (up to age 12). Other services provided include resources and referrals for parents seeking childcare and consumer information on aspects of quality childcare. Resource and referral services are available to all Nevada families at no cost.

The City also provides scholarships for individuals on CCDF waiting lists and for select Parks and Recreation programs. A financial assistance application for the City of Henderson Scholarship may be picked up at any recreation center and the Youth Enrichment Office, 303 S. Water Street (at Basic Road), Suite 200. For more information, call (702) 267-4100.
