Teen Kamp
Available June 10 – August 9, 2013 • Ages 12-15
Teen Kamp offers mentoring and leadership activities tailored to meet teens’ needs and interests. They develop self-confidence and positive decision-making skills while taking part in unique activities and field trips. Each week is themed, providing an opportunity to experience new recreation adventures.
Use the activity codes below to place a deposit and hold your teen’s place for in any week in the program. The balance for each week is due on the Wednesday prior to the week the teen will be attending. Register online or at any Henderson recreation center.

Bring your sweet tooth and learn how to make all types of delicious cookies and deserts. Have you heard of Cupcake Wars? Your team will be put to the challenge to see whose cookies reign supreme. Since this week involves cooking and baking, please be aware that ingredients may include nuts.

Outdoor Exploration
June 17-21
Join us for a week of outdoor adventures complete with hiking skills and games. Make your own outdoor project and work on a leather craft. Wear hiking boots or tennis shoes and bring a large bottle of water each day.

Get your hands dirty planting a variety of plants and taking field trips to Gilcrease Orchard and farmers markets. Take a tour of our own award-winning parks and learn what it takes to keep them looking beautiful during our extreme summers.

If the clatter of tracks and anticipation of the free fall gets your heart pumping, and if you love an adrenaline rush and the thrill of roller coaster riding, then this week is for you. Learn about roller coasters and ride some of the Valley’s best. No class July 4.

Museum Wonder
July 29 - August 2
This adventure-packed week takes you to the best museums the Valley has to offer. Soak up some history and knowledge at the Clark County Museum, tour The Mob Museum, and rub shoulders with celebrities at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas wax attraction.

Water Wonderland
August 5-9
If a water wonderland sounds fun and refreshing, then spend the week with us and experience each of our pools and water features. We visit a different pool each day and take part in other water-themed activities such as building cardboard boats and racing them across the pools, having swim relays and throwing a fantastic beach party.
