Teens
Teen Scene
This after-school program is for children in grades 6-8. Teen Scene provides a USDA snack and features arts
and crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, and social events.
Teen Zone
Teen Zone is an all-day seasonal recreation program designed to entertain and enrich Henderson preteens and teens ages 12-14.
Traveling Teens (summer only)
This program will take middle-school-aged preteens and teens out into the community three days a week.
Teens-N-Training (summer only)
The mission of the Teens-N-Training junior leader program is to train teens, ages 14 and 15, to become recreation leaders and to provide assistance for our summer programs. This program encourages self-confidence in teens and develops communication and leadership skills.
Specialty Camp (summer only)
By blending education and recreation, the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department developed eight Specialty Camps designed to stimulate specialized youth skills.
Teen Trek (summer only)
This seasonal drop-in program for teens is held within their neighborhoods. A fun-filled summer of new and exciting activities keeps them intrigued and engaged.
