Meet the people behind the badge at the Henderson Police Department’s “Talk Shop with Cops” community meeting and learn more about what officers are doing to help keep the community safe.
Henderson Police will host “Talk Shop with the Cops” on Tuesday, July 23, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Whitney Ranch Rec Center, 1575 Galleria Drive and on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Heritage Senior Center, 300 S. Racetrack Road.
“We want the community to know what we are doing to help make our city safe,” Henderson Police Chief Patrick Moers said. “These meetings give us another chance to hear residents’ concerns and continue to work together.”
These event will focus on activities and issues such as traffic, crime trends and neighborhood safety specific to the North Area Command in the July meeting and the East Area Command in the September Meeting. At meeting was held in April that focused on issues in the West Area Command.
The meeting on July 23 will be hosted by Capt. Marc Cassell of the North Area Command and the meeting on September 18 will be hosted by Capt. Brian Dunaway. A question and answer period will be held after the presentations. Chief Moers hopes that these meetings will provide all residents an opportunity to share with the Police Department their thoughts and concerns on crime and other issues in their neighborhoods.
We encourage all members of the community to come out and discuss issues and solutions.
