National Bike Month
On a journey to become a Bicycle Friendly Community, Henderson is encouraging residents to live an active lifestyle and Bike Henderson throughout the month of May as part of National Bike Month, an initiative sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists.
Residents are encouraged to get outside and bike Hendersonís 184+ miles of trails and hundreds of miles of cycling-friendly scenic roadways throughout the year. From the novice cyclists to the adventure thrill seekers, the biking opportunities are endless in Henderson.

Bike It or Hike It
April 1-May 31
From family-friendly to challenging, Henderson offers over 184 miles of trails to explore by bike or by foot. Take a “selfie” in front of any of the trail signage including trailheads, kiosks and interpretive signs. Send your photo to BikeHenderson@cityofhenderson.com for a chance to win prizes. Bike to School Day
In honor of National Bike Month, the City of Henderson has teamed up with the Clark County School District and Safe Routes to School to present Bike to School Day. Henderson students and their families are encouraged to put the car keys away and ride their bike or walk to school. For more information on which Henderson schools are participating in the local Bike to School Day event, contact your child’s school.
Bike to Work Week
Supported by the American League of Bicyclists, Bike to Work Week promotes commuting to work by bike as a healthy alternative to driving.
