Property Management

Property Management administers and manages the purchase, sale and lease of real property for the benefit of the public including the issuance of permits and/or easements to occupy City-owned property (Application).

Annexation

Process prescribed by Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 268 (NRS 268) that extends Henderson's corporate limits.

Donate Property to the City
Process of gifting private property to the City for public use such as parks and public school sites most often as the result of development conditions of approval.

Sale of City Property
NRS 268.050 through 268.063 outlines the process for municipal agencies to sell City-owned property.  Unless otherwise stated in the law, all land sales of City-owned property must be conducted in a public session of the City Council.

Lease City-owned Property
NRS 268.050 through 268.063 outlines the process for municipal agencies to lease City-owned property.  Unless otherwise stated in the law, all leases of City-owned property must be conducted in a public session of the City Council.

Occupancy Permits
The City requires permits for incidental uses on City-owned properties. A letter of interest and application to the Property Management Division initiates the process. The letter must identify the property, the proposed use and the benefit to the public. A proposed plan of development (including a conceptual site plan) must accompany the application.
