Maturing Neighborhoods 2016 Strategic Plan Progress Report | 9 • Negotiated a major modification of the Cadence development agreement to add two schools: a private middle school/high school and a charter high school. • Funded and facilitated, with Habitat for Humanity, the purchase and future construction of four homes in the Pittman area, as well as identified three parcels that will create 20 affordable housing units consisting of duplexes and triplexes. 5. Convention Center’s Functionality and Marketability (Economic Development & Tourism) • Initiated aesthetic repairs to front- and back-of-house areas, including removal of damaged tiles along the hallways, repainting hallways, and replacing damaged ceiling tiles. 6. Street Design Guidelines (Public Works, Parks and Recreation) • Implemented Complete Streets design elements on the Stephanie Bridge Widening and Street Improvement project. • Completed public outreach to business owners and residents regarding the Complete Streets re-design of the downtown area. • Started the integration of the City of Henderson Master Streets and Highway Plan and the Trail Plan to include Complete Streets design elements on all appropriate roadway sections.
