This easy and family-friendly paved trail takes you throughout neighborhoods in the Green Valley area, from Siena Heights Drive, past the Henderson Pavilion, to Paseo Verde Park. Enjoy a quiet path away from traffic with safe pedestrian crossings at roadway intersections. Easy access from St. Rose Parkway at Siena Heights Drive or from Homestead Ranch Street off Paseo Verde Parkway, just west of Paseo Verde Park.
Pittman Wash Trail
Enjoy an easy, paved trail which runs alongside the Pittman Wash, a natural wash where you can see desert plants and wildlife throughout the year. Easy trail access across from Pebble Park at Pebble Road and Topaz Street; Legacy West Park at Pecos Road and Wigwam Parkway; immediately behind Silver Springs Recreation Center; and from Arroyo Grande Park at Arroyo Grande Boulevard and Santiago Drive. Sections of this trail intersect roadways with pedestrian crossings.
Union Pacific Railroad Trail
Take a family-friendly bike ride down the Union Pacific Railroad Trail. Easy access is located at Acacia Park which provides plenty of car parking, restrooms, drinking fountains and shade. Unload your bikes and head south along the paved trail adjacent to the railroad tracks. The trail continues along the railroad corridor for about seven miles, and you can choose how far you want to go. Additional drinking fountains are located at the Fiesta Drive, Greenway Road, Arrowhead Trail, and Nevada State Drive roadway crossings. Along the way there are shade trees and benches if you would like to stop and enjoy your surroundings. Go as far as you like, and then turn around and head back to Acacia Park. If you’re feeling a little warm, take a moment and enjoy the splash pad at the park to cool off.
