The Southern Nevada Sons & Daughters of Erin have kept the Irish heritage alive in Southern Nevada for more than half of a century. Not only does the St. Patrick’s Day event share Irish traditions and culture with the community, it also is one of the organization’s largest fundraisers, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the event’s official charity, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is dedicated to funding childhood cancer research. Attendees can participate in the foundation’s “Sham ‘Rock the Bald’ and Roll’’ head-shaving event on March 16 from
2 p.m.-4 p.m. on the Henderson Events Plaza.
