Henderson Police Arrest Child Luring Suspect

Henderson, Nev. – On May 2, Henderson Police received information regarding allegations of lewdness with a child under 14 years.  The subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of 27-year-old Matthew Terry on May 7 for the following charges:

3 counts of Lewdness by a person over 18 with a child under 14
2 counts of Attempt Lewdness by a person over 18 with a child under 14
1 count of Lure child/mentally ill person with harmful computer material
6 counts of Child Abuse or Neglect 

Terry was contacted and subsequently arrested without incident.  A search warrant was also served at his residence.

Terry is a police officer employed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

This is an active and open investigation. No further details can be released at this time.
