Henderson Police Conclude Joining Forces Event Targeting Speeders

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department concluded its 9th campaign under the current Joining Forces Program.

During the enforcement initiative that ran from April 24th through May 8th, 2019, Henderson Police stopped a total of 510 motorists.

Of the 510 traffic stops, motorists were issued 360 speeding citations, 17 citations for distracted driving (such as cell phone use), 17 citations for registration violations,  10 citations for red light violations, 10 citations for no insurance, as well as several other citations issued for other traffic related offenses. Additionally, 63 motorists were issued a warning, in lieu of a citation.

Henderson Police Department received $183,360 in federal funding for the extra patrols through the Nevada Department of Public Safety – Office of Traffic Safety for the 2019 Joining Forces program.
