Henderson Police Investigate Deadly Shooting

Henderson, Nev. –On January 1, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Henderson Police and Fire responded to the 2300 block of Paseo Verde Parkway in reference to a shooting incident involving hotel security personnel and a male subject.
Security personnel were alerted to a male walking on the property armed with a handgun. It was reported that security personnel made contact with a male subject who produced a firearm. The involved security personnel responded with deadly force, shooting the male. Life saving measures were attempted on the male subject, however he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
This case is under investigation, and no further details can be released at this time.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
This is being investigated as the first homicide in Henderson for 2019.
