Henderson, Nev. – On December 12, at approximately 12:50 a.m., the City of Henderson Police Department responded to the 1600 block of W. Sunset Road in reference to multiple callers advising of hearing gun shots in the area.
Preliminary investigation indicates that upon police arrival, officers located two 17-year-old juveniles to the rear of a commercial property on W. Sunset Road. One juvenile had no injuries and the other was deceased with an apparent gunshot wound.
Additionally, officers spoke with 44-year-old Edward Croaker, who had called police advising he had observed two males shooting at the rear of his residence on the 1600 block of Meadow Bluffs. Croaker obtained his own gun and returned fire, believing he had struck one of the subjects.

Charges are pending for the other juvenile.
The name of the decedent will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
