Henderson, Nev. – The City of Henderson has received the 2019 Pacific Southwest Regional Outstanding Building of the Year Award (TOBY) from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) for Heritage Park Senior Facility and Aquatic Complex. The win is in the category of Public Assembly Buildings.
The Outstanding Building of the Year Awards is the most comprehensive program of its kind in the commercial real estate industry recognizing quality in commercial buildings and rewarding excellence in building management. During the competition, all facets of a building's operations are thoroughly evaluated. Buildings are judged on everything from community involvement, tenant relations and site management to environmental and green policies and procedures.
This win will automatically go on to the International TOBY competition to represent the City of Henderson and the Pacific Southwest Region, which includes 12 local BOMA Associations within Nevada, California, Arizona and Hawaii. International TOBY judging will take place during April and May, and the winners will be announced at the 2019 BOMA International Conference & Expo during the Awards Banquet.
BOMA International includes a total of 89 local associations within in the US, plus 18 International affiliates. Its mission is to advance a vibrant commercial real estate industry through advocacy, influence and knowledge.
