Motorcyclist Succumbs to Injuries after Early Morning Collision

May 13, 2019

Henderson, Nev. – On May 13, 2019, at about 1:40a.m., Henderson Police and Fire were dispatched to the area of Jessup Road and Robindale Road in reference to a single rider motorcycle collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 42-year-old male rider of a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on Jessup Road approaching the “T” intersection of Robindale Road at a high rate of speed.  The driver of the motorcycle failed to negotiate a left or right turn of that intersection, striking a gate and a block wall on the north side of the intersection.

The motorcyclist was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center in serious condition.

Henderson Police Fatal Investigators learned that the motorcyclist later succumbed to his injuries at 11:00a.m. His name will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

The intersection of Jessup Road and Robindale Road were closed for approximately three hours while the investigation was conducted.

Preliminary investigation indicates that speed and impairment did appear to be factors.

This is an open investigation; no further details will be released at this time.

The male’s death is the seventh traffic related fatality this year in The City of Henderson.
