Suspects Arrested in Homicide Investigation

Henderson, Nev. – On April 17, 2019 with the assistance of the City of Phoenix Police Department, the Henderson Police Department was able to locate and arrest 21-year-old Victor Denogean and 20-year-old Jose Ortiz-Casillas for the charge of Open Murder.
Extradition to Henderson is pending for both Denogean and Ortiz-Casillas regarding this investigation.

The missing red Subaru has been recovered.

The booking photos of Denogean and Ortiz-Casillas are attached.

Due to the investigation being open, no additional details will be released at this time.

Henderson Police Investigate Homicide

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department is investigating the discovery of a deceased 55-year-old male in his home after conducting a welfare check in the 1900 block of Cutlass Drive on April 9, at approximately 7:15p.m.

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim had been reported as a missing person by an out of state family member, who also requested a welfare check to his residence.  Officers made entry to the residence and discovered the male deceased and his vehicle missing from the residence. The male appeared to have died of suspicious circumstances, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.  A suspect has not been identified at this time and police are following up on developed leads.

The missing vehicle is a red 2011 Subaru Legacy bearing Nevada plate 263G63.  Please see the attached photo of the vehicle.

This is an open investigation; no additional details will be released at this time.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

This is being investigated as the fourth homicide in Henderson for 2019.
