**UPDATE** Henderson Police Arrest Suspect In 2019 Homicide Investigation

**UPDATE** 

On April 17th, 2019, Henderson Detectives were advised that an arrest warrant for 26-year-old Derrick Decoste was approved for Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.  Decoste had been in custody in Michigan on unrelated charges pending extradition to Nevada.

On January 26, 2020 Decoste was arrested and booked into the Henderson Detention on the felony charges of Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon and Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.

Due to the fact that adjudication has not taken place, no additional details will be released at this time.

Henderson, Nev. – The Henderson Police Department is investigating the discovery of a deceased 70-year-old male in his home after conducting a welfare check in the 1400 block of Bonner Springs Drive on March 9, at approximately 9:30a.m.

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim died of suspicious circumstances, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.  A suspect has not been identified at this time and police are following up on developed leads.

Due to the fact that this is still an open investigation, no additional details will be released at this time.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

This is being investigated as the third homicide in Henderson for 2019.
