With kids out of school we know you want to make the most of this time. We have compiled a list of resources available to help support online learning for children from preschool to high school. Each link below includes a description of the information contained within. It's also a good idea to reach out to your child's teacher or school directly to see if they have specific programs or curriculum to follow.


Internet Access

If your family doesn’t have internet access at home there is a program through Cox that may help.

Check your school's website and the CCSD website

Many schools are also starting to post resources and information to their school websites so that students can keep up on their work while they are at home. Visit your school’s website.

Youth Mental Wellness/Behavior

If you’re looking for help with your child or if you have questions about your child’s mental health or behavior, The Harbor can help.  While they don’t have a location in Henderson, their phone number is staffed 24 hours a day and their staff can provide guidance about available resources if your child is struggling.

Child Safety

We know that with everything going on right now, families are under a lot of stress and this can make children more vulnerable to child abuse and neglect. If you suspect child abuse or neglect, please contact the Clark County Department of Family Services to make a report.  You can call their 24/7 hotline at 702-399-0081 or if it is not an urgent or emergency situation you can make a report online through their website. Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Resources for our homeless youth and safe places to go may decrease as more and more businesses temporarily close their doors to help prevent large groups from gathering together due to COVID-19. If a young person ages 12-20 doesn’t have a place to stay or feels unsafe, they can call the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth for assistance at 1-866-827-3723. Unemployment Claims

The COVID-19 situation has led to many people losing their jobs. If you have lost your job, the State of Nevada is encouraging people to file claims online at If you have technical problems in getting your claim filed, you can email and remember to include your full name and only the last four digits of your social security number when reporting your reporting specific Unemployment Insurance claim problem. You can also call (775) 684-0427 (8:a,m. to 5  p.m.Pacific Time). For general questions about your claim, use phone numbers under the “Contact Us” link on the UI Claimants and Employer pages.
