The City of Henderson House Arrest Program began on August 1, 2011 and is responsible for administering all House Arrest orders from the Henderson Municipal Court. The House Arrest Program is run by the Special Programs and Services Bureau and all new house arrest intakes take place at the Special Programs and Services Offices. The House Arrest Program serves as an alternative to incarceration on cases that the municipal court allows. The program is completely paid for by participants in the program. All costs are recuperated on the date that the equipment is installed and therefore there is no cost to the City.
Persons ordered to the House Arrest Program are required to immediately report to the Special Programs and Services office to be processed and have their equipment installed. The House Arrest Program utilizes state of the art GPS monitoring equipment to monitor an individual. This equipment can locate an individual within several feet of their location under normal operating conditions. The cost of the program is $15.00 per day ordered with a one-time set up fee of $75.00. Participants are required to pay these fees during the intake process.
