Veterans Memorial Wall

Veterans Day Ceremony

The 2020 Veterans Day Ceremony originally planned for November 7 has been canceled due to COVID-19 related limitations. Please visit this page on November 11 for a special virtual presentation.  We also invite you to visit the Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall which remains open to visitors.

The Henderson Memorial Wall was dedicated in November 1994, and local veterans are honored annually at Henderson’s Veterans Day Ceremony. Constructed as a tribute to local war veterans, names will be added to the panel of the wall honoring several hundred Vietnam veterans, both living and deceased, as well as the panel reserved for all deceased war veterans who resided in Henderson prior to 1980. In 2006 a section of the wall was added to recognize Henderson residents who are “Killed in Action” or die from enemy action including terrorism and receive a Purple Heart.
