The City of Henderson is proud to host several concerts and events in February at Water Street Plaza celebrating this annual observance.
Gospel Fest 2023

In honor of Black History Month, join us for this free uplifting concert event. Grammy winning gospel star and Billboard recording artist, Brent Jones will join local gospel performers, pastors and dancers for this special celebration. Authentic soul food served up by local eateries, including Mario’s, will be available for purchase.

Nationally acclaimed storyteller, Charlotte Blake Alston brings her stories and accompanied music to life as a celebration of stringed instruments and their place in African and African American culture. Along with violinist Diane Monroe, Alston celebrates through poignant, funny and heartfelt storytelling, the string instruments that have been an integral part of the life of a community.
