APWA Re-Accreditation
DUS was granted re-accreditation on May 31, 2023 for another four-year period, which expires June 28, 2027.
Removing "useless" grass
A law enacted by the Nevada Legislature in 2021 prohibits using Colorado River water delivered by SNWA member agencies to irrigate nonfunctional turf. The law requires the removal and/or replacement of this turf throughout S.NV at commercial, multi-family, government and other properties. It does not apply to turf in homeowners’ yards, or to turf used for recreation at schools and parks. Nonfunctional turf must be removed or replaced by the end of 2026. Learn more in this SNWA report.
