Where is the best view? 

The parade starts near the Water Street Plaza and continues all along Water Street.

Members from the amazing Henderson Symphony Orchestra will perform at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday December 5.  

Led by Music Director Alexandra Arrieche, the Henderson Symphony Orchestra is the Silver State's only community symphony orchestra that has been performing for 35 seasons delivering on its mission to promote Classical Music appreciation and education to a varied and diverse audience, and to contribute to the cultural community of Southern Nevada.

Location/Street Closures

• The Tree Lighting Ceremony and Drone Show on December 5 will take place on the Water Street Plaza (outside of Henderson City Hall main entrance at 240 S. Water St.)
• The Evening Lights Parade on December 6 will take place along Water Street from Victory to Basic.
  • To accommodate a safe and robust parade route, Water Street and several connecting streets will experience closures and limited access beginning December 5 at 11pm

Parking/Arrival

• Limited parking is available at Water Street parking garage (235 S. Water St. with access off Texas Avenue) and at the Henderson City Hall parking garage (240. S. Water St. with access off Basic Road).
• There will be no shuttle service offered. If you choose to drive, please plan on arriving early to obtain a parking spot.
• If you are a nearby resident, we encourage walking, biking, scootering, etc. to the event. 

Prohibited Items

• Outside alcohol
• Coolers
• Drugs/drug paraphernalia 
• Glass containers
• Umbrellas
• Pop-up tents
• Pets (with the exception of certified assistance animals)
• No smoking or vaping of any kind
• Firearms
• Weapons
• Fireworks
• Riding skateboards, scooters and bicycles in the event/parade area
• Items deemed disruptive

Miscellaneous

• All bags are subject to search.
• WinterFest is a completely outdoor event.
• Children under age 16 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• For parents visiting with small children, it is recommended to take a photo of your child prior to/upon entering on your cell phone. In the unlikely and unfortunate event you are separated, the current photo will help our staff be able to easily identify your child when searching for them.
